does your tfc randomly uninstall?

I noticed that about once every 4 months or so my tfc on steam will go from play to install...while it's not completely removing the entire data when I go to click install it feels like the game just isn't the same anymore....sound problems at first...the crosshair not being there anybody else notice this??

it's nothing that I can't work around it's more less that I know it's not proper, was just wondering if anybody else noticed it
