My TFC map :V

Hey... Made a map for tfc. Sorta axlfly style and stuff. It does have some texture errors but I'll probably get on to it soon.

The 'texture errors' concerns me. But I'll check it out in a bit.

My thoughts on the map:

1. There are quite a bit of miscues on textures, but I won't point them all out specifically since you seem to be aware of them already. Just want to say that there are differences between each base and that it should be more symmetrical.

2. Blue team seems to spawn backwards. There was one random time I was facing forward, but I couldn't replicate it again.

3. The flag system is backwards. When you pick up an enemy flag, it is considered your own flag. So capping it at your capture point won't work, you would need to cap it in the enemy's capture point.

4. There is an invisible ledge at the top of the battlements that blocks you when you come flying in. I'd recommend either changing it to a slope so it slides the player down or removing it completely so it doesn't block the player.

5. The main ramp that you take once you enter a base goes straight up, but doesn't turn left. This looks odd. I'd recommend extending the floor all the way to the edge and making the ramp shorter so that it leads up to the floor instead of the wall.

6. The respawn doors may stay open a bit too long. Considering the server you want this to be on is battlezone, I'd maybe make them close slightly sooner to prevent players from being able to shoot or throw grenades inside.

Other than that I think you did a great job. Nice looking map and looks playable. I don't think in it's current state that it would be accepted onto the server given the fact that it has some gameplay breaking problems.



Some additional suggestions that I would like to make that I think would make this a more enjoyable map would be:

1. Adding a secondary flag entrance / remove flag room resupply. (With one entrance, a good player can easily camp that room with unlimited ammo/grenades.)

2. Adding a secondary exit to battlements on the left side, so players can go either left or right if they're coming from the main spawn room. Would balance sniping out a bit so that you can't just focus on the right side.

I liked the map.. Good Job! I saw the problems that Poison pointed out but I noticed that you could cap the flag on either side.
