Title: 130915
Post by: Swede on September 15, 2013, 01:17:00 PM
Been troutfishing all day today. 13 hours.
Got myself 2 nice trouts, 5,5 kg and 4,8 kg. Not Put and Take.
Flyfisherman as I am I will tie some new flies now since the inspiration is all over me after the day.
Tomorrow TFC day.

I did some fishing myself a few weeks during the summer, however I didn't use any good rod so the line could go far out. The result was that i only caught minimal perches.

Next year i should consider setting up a net somewhere...

Man o man, Swede..Posta pic! I love fishing with all my heart. Times got tough so I had to sell my truck and boat. Thank God I have a friend witha 5 acre pond full of bass and bream that are the perfect size for fileting and eating! -=D

I enjoy bass, crappie (perch/sacalait), bream, shellcrackers, and catfish...I was able to go trout fishing in the Arkansas River a couple years ago. I caught 14 between 3/4 lb to 1.5 lb. They were fun fish to catch, were using casting rods and beads that looked like fish eggs as bait and they went nuts for it!

Guys, post up yer fishing pics..lakes, rivers, and fish! Here's soem recent ones frm me!

3lb spotted bass caught last year

Nice fish deadly :) ;)
Nice fish Spammy.  ;)
1 hour 45 minutes, man I understand your pain in the arms.  ;D
Good that the straps in the chair held, seen a film when they broke and a man was drawn overboard trying to hold the fish.  ;D

no straps, it was only 30lb line so i was sitting and standing, afterwards the captain i hired gave me a beer, had to use both hands to get the beer to my mouth!! nice fight, was there for 4 years, lotsa good fishing...

Man o man, I have had days where I fished for 12 hours and had to usae both hands to drink a glass of tea. I can only imagine the epic fight that had to have been., I fought a large catfish  (59lb blue cat) for 40 minutes and lost him and I was whooped after that!

Swede, I have utmost respect for a man that creates a lure from string and odds and ends then goes and stands out in a stream and brings home diner with it. That is badass. I suck at fly fishing...

I went once and it was awesome..3 and 4 pounders were hitting regular even hooked up on a 7 or so and lost it. I was using a war eagle spinner bait white with a spotted chartreuse skirt. The rascal bit it off when he broke the water.

There's still some good fishing in my area. We got 3 damned lakes off the Coosa river chain plus you can fish the lower Coosa, as well as the Alabama River. Lots of spots and largemouth. I also tear the crappie up for stocking the fridge.

Why is that cute? I don't fish for size I fish for taste... I throw big fish back. If I wanna roll up a monster catch just head down to red fishing land.

We need more details of the trip. Where were ya fishin, what with and what kind of fish and boat! its these details that get me by! =D

Just like a man to see another man with a bigger one and pretty much say "Well! Size doesn't matter..."    :-*

It matters if you aren't fishing for the same thing.

oooooooooo   remind me not to joke about men and their fish ;)

My brother once caught a fish while we were out on a lake.  Think fought like hell (or so he claimed)   He did end up taking a picture with it, sadly I don't have that image.  It was something like this though, which I pulled off google images.

http://imgur.com/LiNSX7h

His picture was hilarious.  He kept as straight a face as he could and held it up proudly like it was a monster.  I think it was a perch.  It was definitely a minnow.

I don't take fishing too seriously these days. I do enjoy the shit talk between people about their catches. For me it's just nice to go out walking with the dog along the canal and if I have any luck that's great.

Got 2 fishes early in the morning. 1,4 kg and 1,9 kg (wild trout).

Then a friend decided to catch the heavy fly he was casting with his face. Luckily he had sunglasses on, it hit him just below his right eye. So it was off to the hospital for some stiches. Since I had got fish and not the others yet I had to drive him.
